I have searched the forum so sorry if I'm asking something already asked.

I know when you upgrade to a new version the card images are still in the database. But.
How do you upgrade this component without loosing all categories and recreating every card?

I have over 100 (so far) cards and I didn't think I had to recreate all cards and categories the last time I upgraded ?? - which (yuk)I'm not looking forward to.

I just unzipped locally and overwrote the files via ftp - it's working!

Is this really a good and safe option to do? Need to upgrade tot 3.19 version and have read some different methods on this forum. So what do you think is the best method to upgrade and not losing all cards and data so far?

A quick guide would be nice on your website. Makes life easier

via ftp in this case, no problem.

Yes, this method is working via FTP.

But in the Joomla admin section RWcards keeps saying 3.0.12. in the about RWcards tab and not 3.0.19. I can see it is updated in the log, so that's no problem

put the new language files in the corresponding directories and you got it
